My teaching philosophy mirrors my research aim.To build bridges between disciplines, communities, and students so that ideas and people can interact in mutually enriching ways. Students learn best when they are engaged as participants, when they are given the tools to think critically, and when they are encouraged to connect their own questions and interests to the material. My goal as a teacher is to create the conditions for this engagement and to empower students to become independent and curious thinkers.Read my full Teaching Statement Here
